Our event planning work brings a new look and set of practices to "significant occasions" be they weddings, corporate functions, exhibitions, openings, launches, end of year celebrations - your occasion. Our events are designed to use simplicity and sustainability as core design themes providing a style or look that helps us embrace renewed traditions in celebration and commemoration. We seek out unique venues - parks, farms, gardens, heritage sites, laneways. We pay attention to the details and how they come together. For example, menu - where and how produced is sourced and prepared, venue decoration - as an environment that creates memories; living, learning and interactive. We might use simple touches like table settings with seasonal herb seedlings that guests take home as a living and edible keep sake. We do invitations and programs (see graphic design), plan waste management and disposal and where possible, energy and how events are powered.
Every event is unique and we aim to enhance the colour of the memories with skills that we can take home and share with others in a future we can be comfortable about.
Kristy and Barbara have both worked in styling and producing events ranging from large to intimate, corporate private and community settings. Our range of experiences have tuned our responses to the immense potential in simple, stylistic planning that breaks away from the typical formulaic event plan.
